You can use Google Meet to watch YouTube videos with others through live sharing on Android devices. First, a YouTube Premium member will need to start a live sharing session. Once the sharing session is started, others can join the call without a Premium membership.
Note:
- This is currently available on Android only.
- You must be signed in to YouTube with your personal Google Account.
Google Meet live sharing
To start a Google Meet live share:
- YouTube Premium member: First, sign in to your Google Account.
- Once you're in a Google Meet call, use the activities menu to jump to YouTube or go to the YouTube app.
- Play a video. You'll be asked to confirm that you want to watch with everyone on the call.
- In YouTube, tap Share to start a new call and invite friends to watch with you.
