These features are only available to partners using YouTube's Content Manager to manage their copyrighted content.
To differentiate audiobooks and audiodramas from other types of content in YouTube Music, please provide the following:
Audiobook
An audiobook features a narrator reading a book published by an author.
Required Metadata
- ReleaseType = AudioBookRelease
- Audiobook title = DisplayTitle
- Author declared as NonLyricAuthor (preferred) or MainArtist
- Narrator should not be declared as any of these values but instead as Narrator (see below)
Optional Metadata
In addition to the required metadata, you may include any of the following optional information:
- Narrator
- OriginalPublisher (book publisher)
- LanguageOfPerformance
- Genre
- SubGenre
- Synopsis
- ParentalWarningType
Audiodrama or Radioplay
An audiodrama is a dramatic rendition of a story and may feature one or more actors and narrators
Required Metadata
- ReleaseType = AudioDramaRelease (supported in DDEX AVS as of ERN 3.8.3)
- Audiodrama title = DisplayTitle
- Audiodrama brand = MainArtist
- In some cases, MainArtist and DisplayTitle may be identical
Optional Metadata
In addition to the required metadata, you may include any of the following optional information:
- Playwright
- NonLyricAuthor
- Actor
- Narrator
- LanguageOfPerformance
- Genre
- SubGenre
- Synopsis
