About generative AI in responsive search ad templates

Using generative AI, you can create headlines and descriptions for your responsive search ad templates. Optionally, you can also use prompts to influence the generated headlines and descriptions to better align them with your marketing goals. After the headlines are generated, you can review and modify the generated formulas, and also preview the ads that would be generated by the headline and description formulas.

Note: Currently, Generative AI responsive search ad templates are only available for feed-based templates.

Instructions

You can find generative AI tools for creating headlines and descriptions when editing your Responsive search ad templates:

  1. Sign in to your new Search Ads 360.
  2. From the left navigation panel, under “Tools and settings”, click Shared Library, and then click Templates.
  3. Click Templates.
  4. On the “Templates” page, click the blue plus icon .
  5. Click + Responsive search ad template.
  6. Select the option to apply to Ad group templates.
  7. Set up your template until you reach the “Ad settings” page.
  8. Expand Generate headlines and descriptions.
  9. Optionally, use the prompt field to describe the template you want to create, then click Generate to let AI generate headline and description formulas.
