To get support for your Pixel phone, you can ask Google Assistant or Gemini Assistant a question. You can say things like “Help with my Pixel” or “How to turn off notifications.” Learn how to use Google Assistant on your device.
Important: This feature is only available on Pixel 8 and later.
Use Assistant to get help with your Pixel phone
- Press and hold the Power button on your phone or say, "Hey Google." If your assistant is off, you'll be asked to turn it on.
- Ask a question about how to complete a task or get support on your Pixel phone.
- From the support options displayed, choose the option that best answers your question.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to go to Settings or to a relevant article.
On your Android device, when Gemini is your primary mobile assistant, it can help you with some of the same tasks as Google Assistant. Some familiar features from Google Assistant may not be supported in Gemini, which is still evolving. Devices where the Gemini mobile app is unavailable, like smart displays and watches, will still use Google Assistant.

Info you share with Google
If you choose to share information with Google, your device can send info like:
- Google Account info
- IMEI of device
- Model name of device
- Numerical string to identify the user session
- Battery health signals
- Relevant settings that depend on your issue, such as:
- Dark theme
- Adaptive brightness
- Accessibility bold text
