Get the most out of tabletop mode on your Pixel Fold

You can use tabletop mode on your Pixel Fold to take group photos, watch videos hands-free and take tripod-free photos of the night sky.

Use tabletop mode to watch videos hands-free

1. Select what you want to watch.
2. Fold your phone into an L-shape.
3. Place it on a surface with the cover screen facing down.
4. To exit tabletop mode, unfold your phone fully or fold the device closed.

Take a group photo with tabletop mode

Important: This feature is only available on selected apps.

1. On your Pixel Fold, open the Camera app .
2. Fold your phone into an L-shape.
3. Place it on a surface with the screen towards you, and the rear cameras facing your subject.
4. To take a photo with the timer, set the timer and step into the frame.
   • Tap 3 seconds or 10 seconds .
   • Press the shutter button and then enter the photo.

Tip: Once you've selected a timer setting, you can also trigger the shutter button by holding up your hand. Learn more about palm timer.

Take a hands-free photo with your voice

Important: You'll need to have Google Assistant already set up. Learn how to set up Google Assistant here.

1. On your Pixel Fold, open the Camera app .
2. Place your device on a stable surface or stand.
3. Step into the camera's frame.

To start a camera timer with your voice, say 'Hey Google, take a picture'. After a three-second delay, your phone will take a photo.

Tip: To use this feature, 'Quick phrases' must be enabled in Settings.
