Use your RuPay credit card on Google Pay

You may not be able to link your RuPay credit card on Google Pay because:

• Your bank doesn’t support UPI payments made using RuPay credit cards.
• The mobile number registered with your bank and Google Pay are different.
• You have entered an invalid OTP or incorrect card details.

To use your card for merchant payments:

1. Select the RuPay credit card as your preferred payment method when making a payment. Learn how to set RuPay credit cards as a default payment method.
2. Enter the UPI PIN you’ve set for the RuPay credit card to complete the payment.

You can use the card issuing bank approved credit limit to:

• Shop online and make payments to merchants.
• Send money to merchant business accounts through UPI QR scan transactions.

Tip: Some merchants may not accept payments made using RuPay credit cards. In such scenarios, use your linked bank account to make payments.

You can’t use RuPay credit cards to:

• Make payments to friends and family
• Receive money from friends and family
• Initiate self transfers from RuPay to your savings account
• Invest in the stock market

For RuPay-on-UPI transactions, the card issuing bank manages the limit of RuPay credit cards. To determine card limits, your bank takes the following factors into account:

• RuPay credit card limit set by the card issuing bank.
• For RuPay credit cards on UPI transactions, credit limits put in place by the card issuing bank with their risk management framework.
• Credit limit you set on the bank's mobile banking app.
