Google Street View cars capture images from public roads, which might include your home. If an image contains inappropriate content, or you prefer your home not be shown, you can request it to be blurred. Once Google blurs your home, the blur is permanent. Only the home owner or tenant is eligible to request a house blur. In addition, Google uses cutting-edge technology that is designed to blur identifiable faces and number plates in Street View imagery.
Computer
To blur Google Street View you must send a request.
- Find your home in Google Maps.
- Open the Street View image that you want to blur.
- In the bottom right, click 'Report a problem'.
- Complete the 'Report a problem' form and submit.
