We're constantly working to make the Manufacturer Center's insights and analytics better, so you get a complete picture of how your products are doing on Google. You can now filter product insights by the country where the impressions occurred. Look for the analytics country selector at the top of pages displaying product insights.

Target products in all countries using a single feed

Previously, Manufactuer Center feeds had one primary “country of sale.” The “country of sale” was the first country selected while creating a feed. “Additional countries” could be added after feed creation to direct the product data to be shown in other regions. Doing this would result in duplicate products showing in Manufacturer Center, one for each country.

Today, we’re removing the concept of a feed or product targeting one primary country. Just like in Merchant Center, the “country of sale” and “additional countries” field names will go away. Now, when you create a new feed, you can target additional countries using a new “target countries” field when configuring the feed. When this “target countries” field is used, the product will no longer be duplicated in your account, instead the product will target all applicable countries simultaneously.

What happens to existing feeds?

Any existing feeds that you had before this transition will be regrouped: a feed targeting multiple countries and languages will be regrouped into feeds that target a single country and language. No changes are required from you.

Example: You previously had a feed that was targeted to both the US and France. After the transition, you’ll see a feed for US and English and another feed for France and French. You may choose to combine those 2 feeds into a single feed, but this action is not required.

Organize with feed labels

We’re also introducing an optional new Manufacturer Center feed setting field named “feed label”. Feed labels will allow more flexibility in product management. For example, feeds using the same language could be given different feed labels to note if they should target different sets of countries. The feed label on your current feed will default to their current country code.

Edit target countries for each product individually

We've also enhanced customization by allowing you to edit target countries for each product individually. In Manufacturer Center, this means:

  • The creation wizard now lets you select multiple countries.
  • The manual editor now allows you to modify country selections.

For feeds and API, we're introducing a new Intended country [intended_country] product-level attribute that allows you to target a specific set of countries with a single product.
