Mark conversations as duplicates
Requires the Who can moderate content permission.
You can mark one conversation as a duplicate of another if:
- Both conversations are in the same group.
- The conversation you want to mark as duplicate isn’t already a duplicate of a different conversation.
- The conversation you want to mark as duplicate doesn’t have a conversation marked as its duplicate.
When you mark a conversation as duplicate, the conversation is locked, and you can’t perform any actions on it.
- Sign in to Google Groups.
- Click the name of a group.
- Choose an option:
- To mark a single conversation as a duplicate—Click the conversation.
- To mark multiple conversations as duplicates—Point to each conversationcheck the boxes next to each conversation name.
- At the top right, click Mark as duplicate .
- Enter the URL of the duplicate conversationclick Mark duplicate.
- In the conversation list, a duplicate conversation displays the Duplicate icon to the right of the subject.
- To see the conversation that has been duplicated, click the duplicate conversationat the top right, click view conversation.
- To unmark the conversation as a duplicate, at the top right, click Unmark as duplicate .
Mark conversations as no action needed
Requires the Who can moderate content permission.
You can mark or unmark a conversation as no action needed. If the conversation was already assigned to someone, it remains assigned to them.
- Sign in to Google Groups.
- Click the name of a group.
- Choose an option:
- To mark a single conversation as no action needed—Click the conversation.
- To mark multiple conversations as no action needed— Point to each conversationcheck the boxes next to each conversation name.
- At the top right, click No action needed .
- If a conversation requires action in the future, select itclick Unmark as no action needed .
