About requesting a mandatory Google for Nonprofits account for all Ad Grants accounts

From January 2017, Google Ad Grants required all Ad Grants accounts to request a Google for Nonprofits account. Since that time, notification emails have been sent to the login email addresses of affected Ad Grants Google Ads accounts with instructions to complete the request before April 30, 2017.

Accounts that did not request a Google for Nonprofits account by April 30, 2017 have been temporarily deactivated. If your account was affected, you'll have received an email at the login email addresses in the account. To reactivate your temporarily deactivated Ad Grants account, complete the request for a Google for Nonprofits account by following the steps below. When you receive confirmation that your organization has been verified, your Ad Grants account will be automatically reactivated within 24 hours.

Login problems and account retrieval issues

We know that login details to accounts can be hard to keep track of. Here is a refresher on how fix problems with account access to Google Ads and Google for Nonprofits.

Updated login rule: Please ensure that there is at least one mutual administrative login email address in the Google for Nonprofits account and in the Google Ad Grants account that you’re requesting. If this is not currently the case, you can add a current administrator on one account to the other.

   1. Add an admin user to Google Ads (under "How to grant access").

Google for Nonprofits - Forgot account login credentials?

If you forgot the password to the Google Account that owns your Google for Nonprofits Application, you can reset the password.

If you forgot which Google Account is linked to your Google for Nonprofits membership, you can try searching your inboxes for the Google for Nonprofits application confirmation email. The application confirmation email is sent from googlefornonprofits-noreply@google.com.

If you're still unable to figure out which account you signed up with, we suggest you request administrative access to your Google for Nonprofits membership account. Your request will be processed after 14 days.

Serving ads to an additional domain in your Ad Grants account

There can only be one Google for Nonprofits account per registered charity, so only one Ad Grants account per nonprofit can be activated. It is possible to have ads running to an additional domain in an Ad Grants account, in certain circumstances, to "promote ongoing projects with similar content owned by your organization". To avail of this an organization must complete the additional domain request form.
