You can change the name of your manager account as well as your client accounts. Keep in mind that users with access to client accounts can also change the client accounts’ names.
This article shows you how to change account names in your manager account.
Instructions
Note: The instructions below are part of the new design for the Google Ads user experience. To use the previous design, click the "Appearance" icon, and select Use previous design. If you're using the previous version of Google Ads, review the Quick reference map or use the Search bar in the top navigation panel of Google Ads to find the page you’re searching for.
Change your manager account name:
- Sign in to your Google Ads manager account.
- Click the Admin icon .
- Click the Preferences drop down in the section menu.
- On the page, look for Account name and click the arrow next to "Account name,” then enter the new name you want for your account.
- Click Save.
Change names for your client accounts:
- Sign in to your Google Ads manager account.
- Click the Accounts icon .
- Point your cursor over the account name you want to change, then click the pencil icon .
- Enter the new name, and click Save.
Note: Newly created accounts will no longer support URLs in the account name.
